Explore great places to fall asleep and wake up at to fuel your body and your mind.
If you find yourself struggling to get some good and restful sleep most of your nights, you’re not alone. For some of us, it’s the kids jumping into your bed at half past five in the morning, wanting to be entertained. For some, it’s the laundry sitting next to the washing mashine, waiting to be done. Or maybe, we’ve got to blame it on netflix, because you just couldn’t stop binge-watching this new, super-exciting series? A good sleeping hygiene, as weird as this term may sound, however, is utterly important for our body and for our mental wellbeing. Having read ‘Why We Sleep’ from Matthew Walker, I now try even more carefully to get my 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night.
If you haven’t done it yet, it’s never too late to ask yourself questions like: How easily do I fall asleep? What’s the quality of my sleep? And how do I find myself waking up in the morning. For some of us, vacation is the only time of the year when we give ourselves a really good rest. This, and because I’m just a big fan of celebrating sleeping, has led me to include a category that revolves exclusively around great places to fall asleep and wake up at. I call this “slow sleeping“.
